The station is situated in the small town of Mount Ayliff in the Eastern Cape along the N2. The Station is named after the political stalwart Alfred Baphethuxolo Nzo who served as the longest-standing secretary-general of the African National Congress.
Background
Alfred Nzo Community Radio is a community radio station incorporated in terms of the Electronic Communications Act No. 36 of 2005.
The station is registered at Cipro as an NPO. It was established in 2007 after a consultative process facilitated by the Community members.

Alfred Nzo Community Radio broadcasts on two frequencies 98.3 and 93.8. It covers the following towns: Mount Ayliff, Mt Frere, Qumbu, Ntabankulu, Matatiele, Cedarville, Tsolo, Lusikisiki, Flagstaff, Libode, Bizana, Parts of Mthatha, Port St Johns, and Mount Fletcher.
The station broadcasts in Four official languages IsiXhosa, SeSotho, English, Isizulu and indigenous languages.
Through the last update of listenership starts on SAARF and we are on 240 000.
